Fort Myers hotel to host ‘super bowl’ party with over 30,000 people to celebrate the 2016 Super Bowl

Fort Myers, Florida (AP) Fort Myers has plans to host an extravagant party for its Super Bowl 50 party, with over 31,000 guests expected to attend.

Kathy Lee, a spokeswoman for Fort Myers-Dade County, told The Associated Press that guests will attend the party on Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., starting with a party featuring the city’s mayor, police chief and county sheriff, among others.

The event will be held in a hotel in Fort Myers and will be open to the public, she said.

The city and county are not naming the hotel, but it is named after the city of Fort Myers that hosted the event in 2020.

Lee said there are plans to make the party free to the general public and allow fans to rent out their rooms for the event.

The hotel is scheduled to open at 11 a.com, but that is when the city and the county will be closed to the media, she added.

“We are excited about the opportunity to host a Super Bowl party, and to make it a truly memorable event for all Fort Myers residents,” Lee said.
